Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Building Surveyor. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, assessing, and reporting on the condition of buildings and structures. The role involves providing expert advice on property maintenance, renovation, and compliance with legal and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Conduct detailed surveys of buildings to assess condition, identify defects, and recommend remedial actions. Prepare and present detailed reports, including specifications, cost estimates, and project timelines. Advise clients on property issues, including maintenance, repairs, and refurbishments. Ensure compliance with building regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental legislation. Manage and oversee building projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality and adherence to project specifications. Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to provide professional advice and support. Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for potential building projects. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building practices, legal issues, and industry developments. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Building Surveying, Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is preferred. Proven experience in building surveying or a similar role. Strong knowledge of building regulations, health and safety standards, and construction methods. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
