Force Recruitment are looking to speak with Freelance Civil Site Managers with proven experience supervising/managing construction works involving S278 works. Job Title: Freelance Civil Site Manager Location: Maidstone, Kent Contract Type: Freelance/Contract Duration: 4 weeks - 4 days for the first week, transitioning to 3 days/week (night works possible) Start Date: 02/09/2024 Rate: £350 - £400/day dependant on experience and qualifications Scope: S278 works - Highway works, drainage, kerb replacements, re-surfacing, Signage etc. Requirements: CSCS, SMSTS, and NRWSA Supervisor certification. Proven experience as a Site Manager in civil engineering, specifically with S278 works. Strong understanding of highway construction, roadworks, and associated civil engineering disciplines. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a site-based workforce. In-depth knowledge of health and safety legislation and practices in the construction industry. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all on-site activities related to the s278 works, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Liaise with local authorities, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery and resolve any on-site issues. Prepare and review method statements, risk assessments, and work schedules. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety standards. Report on project progress, issues, and changes to the project management team. Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with the relevant regulations and standards, including Highways England and local authority requirements.
