Join a Leading Architectural Firm: Senior Architect Opportunity About the Opportunity We are thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for a Senior Architect to join a prestigious high-end residential architecture and interiors design practice located in South West London. This award-winning firm has recently been recognized with the Sunday Times Best Family Home award for two consecutive years and has just moved into stunning new offices overlooking the river at Wandsworth. With a growing portfolio of exceptional projects, they are looking to expand their talented team. The Role As a Senior Architect, you will work closely with the Head of Creative Design, taking full responsibility for designing new houses and extensions to period properties in the South-West London area. You will engage directly with clients throughout the briefing, design, and pre-planning stages, collaborating with cost consultants and a range of internal and external professionals. Your key responsibilities will include preparing drawings, plans, and documents for feasibility studies and pre-planning applications. Main Duties & Responsibilities Lead the design process for high-end residential projects from inception to completion. Prepare comprehensive contract documentation and manage contract administration. Produce detailed drawing packages for construction. Coordinate effectively with external technical staff, consultants, and contractors. Manage project timelines and budgets with a keen understanding of commercial considerations. Key Skills Proven experience in high-end residential new builds and period refurbishments, preferably in the South-West London area. Strong design, presentation, and technical skills. Proficiency in Vectorworks, SketchUp, InDesign, and Photoshop. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to guide clients through the design process. In-depth knowledge of NBS Specification, UK British Standards, and building regulations.
