The company has an extensive track record of successful operations across the UK, and this is an excellent opportunity to join our team at our Head Office in Lenton, Nottingham . As the Surfacing Contracts Manager/Project Manager you will be responsible for managing the planning and execution of contracts while taking financial control and ownership of the works . Key Duties: Manage multiple sites across a key range of clients, maintaining positive relationships. Lead, manage and comply with all SHEQ requirements through implementing company policies and guidelines. Produce manage and maintain health, safety and environmental plans for the contracts. Manage the profitability of contracts through ensuring their completion within the estimated financial guidelines . Produce accurate financial forecasts before and during schemes, monitor and manage changes and produce the final account for submission. Ensure contracts are executed in accordance with the contract mechanisms and liaise with the commercial department throughout. Advise Site Supervisors, Subcontractors and Clients regarding the technical aspects of the Highways Surfacing Industry. Effective allocation and scheduling of resources within the planning and programming of contracts while managing site operations. Manage site operations to maximise operational efficiencies , through setting targets for site teams. Mentor and support site managers. We are looking for the following experience: Minimum of 10 years construction related supervisory / project management experience, ideally within the asphalt surfacing or highways sector. Higher level construction related degree. A management qualification such as ILM, NEBS or NVQ4. SMSTS and CSCS. Experience of managing surfacing contracts in the public and private sector. Good working knowledge of contract conditions i.e. CDM, programme management, risk management, cost management, forecasting etc. Knowledge of the NEC contract including early warning and compensation event mechanisms. Experience of pre-qualification and tendering processes. Excellent people management skills with the ability to influence and mentor. Experience of MS Project, CAD and MS Office . High level technical knowledge and experience to demonstrate a high level of ability and competence dealing with clients and stakeholders. If you wish to apply, please send an up-to-date CV .
