Work for a market leader in what this company does Your new role As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be expected to Meet with clients to determine their needs and discuss any areas that need revising for price or feasibility. Be responsible for calculating material quantities and costs, labour costs, and an achievable project timeframe. Negotiate labour contracts and schedules. Advise on legal matters and disputes. Monitor subcontractors, safety practices, construction progress, and material needs, including any changes which may impact costs. Prepare labour and supplier accounts for payment. Write reports detailing costs and progress for clients. Assist in Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) process and prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS). What you'll need to succeed Ideally you will currently be an intermediate QS – more senior QS’ will be considered. Be prepared to work in the office three to four days with the other days on site Be located within 1 hour of the LE16 area Have experience working on facades, windows, doors and/or refurb works Have a strong JCT knowledge – most of this companies contracts are JCT with amendments as well as some NEC What you'll get in return £40 – 60,000 doe travel allowance 28 days holiday Full-time, permanent Company pensions What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
