But, in the form of an adult - site manager - within construction…… Site Manager (someone looking to progress their career to project management) Healthcare / Education / Commercial / Residential The company The company is a medium sized contractor - that take on projects within the residential, education, healthcare, and general commercial sector. They have doubled in size in the last 12 months due to successful tendering and already have a very health pipeline of work through 2025. The opportunity A Site Manager who has a proven track record working on refurb & new build projects from start to completion. The right candidate will be hands on, eyes and ears on site as well as making sure the programme is being met on time. This could appeal to an up-and-coming site manager from a medium sized contractor or a package manager type working for a Tier 1 - but would suit someone who has something about them and wants to push on in their career. You would initially work under a Project Manager. Location / Projects The projects are generally Central or greater London. Typically, quite fast track projects between £1m - £3m, although they do have projects up to £6m. Example live projects being a £5m new build concrete frame (education), a commercial fit-out (£1m fast-track) in Central London to a cladding refurb project of tower block in SE London. Skills / Experience required: ·High level of practical knowledge of relevant employment, Health and Safety and general legislative requirements ·Excellent leader with strong communication skills. ·Responsible for management of the programme. ·Adheres to the highest standards of health and safety. ·Planning and organisational skills ·Proven longevity with previous employers ·Proven track record of managing projects from start to completion. ·Overseeing management of on-site sub-contractors. ·Must have SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid This role can also be called Assistant Site Manager, Site Manager, Assistant Construction Manager or Construction Manager.
