FJA are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading family run construction company based in the Great Manchester area. They are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing company that specialise in both new build and refurbishment projects in the North West. Covering projects in the education, housing and commercial sector with both public and private clients. You will be responsible for specific projects, which range in value from £200k to £10million. Benefits as a Quantity Surveyor : 23 days holiday bank holidays Private Health Care (after probationary period) Working alongside an experienced supportive team who will help to develop and grow your career Working within a business with a strong pipeline of work and established client base Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities: Monitoring sub contract valuations Placing the sub contract orders on projects up to a value of £10 million Responsibility for monitoring and getting approval for project variations Providing financial valuations to clients and agreeing payment Approving sub-contractor valuations for payment Responsibility for monitoring and reporting on contract cost and value Issue and control of project drawing to ensure latest and accurate drawing are available for the site team A good understanding of JCT contracts traditional and design & build Working with sub-contractors to resolve any legal or contractual matters The successful Quantity Surveyor must have: At least 1-2 years of experience in a contracting environment Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent If you are interested in this fantastic Quantity Surveyor opportunity and want to work for a forward-thinking Company, then apply now with your current updated CV.
