Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor, based in Glasgow. Our client is a key player in construction & property industry, known for their commitment to design, quality, and sustainable growth. Role Overview: As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of the commercial and financial side of build and refurbishment projects. This is an excellent chance to work on high-value contracts and make a real impact within a well-established team. Key Responsibilities: - Overseeing project costs from inception to completion, ensuring value for money while maintaining high standards. - Preparing detailed estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents. - Managing and negotiating contracts with clients and subcontractors. - Assessing, managing, and mitigating project risks. - Preparing monthly financial reports, cash flows, and valuations. - Collaborating closely with project managers and site teams to deliver on time and within budget. What We’re Looking For: - Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the main contracting build or large-scale refurbishment. - Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and cost management principles. - Excellent analytical and negotiation skills. - A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and within a team. - Relevant qualifications (e.g., Degree in Quantity Surveying, RICS membership).
