Job Title: Quantity Surveyor Location: Shotton Mill, Weighbridge Road, Deeside. Contract Duration: 13 Months (Until End of September 2025) Job Type: Contract Working Hours: 08:00 AM to 06:00 PM, Monday to Friday (1-Hour Lunch Break) Company Overview: Ant Yapi UK | Stellar UK (AYUK) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor specializing in commercial and contractual terms of subcontractors. The successful candidate will perform day to day management of the subcontractors. Key Responsibilities: "Manage subcontractors on a daily basis, including tasks such as tendering, negotiation, and contract administration before and after awarding contracts." "Monitor project costs compared to budgeted amounts. Prepare contract forecasts and identify risks and opportunities for project spending/budgets. Provide regular reports on cost performance." "Develop and execute effective commercial strategies to optimize project cost management. Provide feedback for continuous improvement in procurement processes." "Handle all commercial correspondence and contractual notices, ensuring compliance with contractual conditions and clarity of the client's position." "Identify emerging problems proactively and report contractual claims. Assist in managing and resolving legal and/or commercial disputes, coordinating with Regional/Functional management as needed." "Lead final account settlements on all projects, ensuring adherence to project authority and agreed-upon timelines. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders for smooth project closure." "Attend project meetings and offer expert advice on commercial matters." "Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, quality and compliance with contractual obligations." "Collaborate with project manager to develop accurate project budgets and forecasts." "Review and negotiate variations/change orders with subcontractors and clients." "Maintain accurate records of all commercial activities, including contracts, variations, and claims." Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. Proven experience in cost control and contract management. Must-have: Industrial Project Experience, Fluent English Preferable: Experience in NEC4 type contracts Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and coordinate multiple aspects of the project simultaneously. Experience in managing subcontractors and ensuring quality control in large-scale projects. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with project stakeholders. Ability to work on a contract basis for the entire project duration. Working Conditions: Work schedule: 08:00 AM to 06:00 PM, Monday to Friday. 1-hour lunch break daily.
